And We're back!

This year we're going retro

Helmets were optional, team kits were loud and the hair styles were louder. Bikes were steel and the riders were as tough as nails; this was real Ciclismo.

We're celebrating this golden era of cycling for the 2026 edition of Brisbane Roubaix, so it's time to dust off (or jump on eBay) that retro kit, throw on some loud sunnies and ask the barber for business up front and a party at the back.

We'll have prizes for those getting into the vibe but if you don't feel like dressing up that's cool too!
We've expanded the family! If you love BNE RBX and Brown Snake Gravel check out our other events at goodnessgravel.com. Get in touch if you have any questions!

What is brisbane Roubaix?

A Tribute to the queen of the classics

The routes

Go long or short
An adventure linking up some of Brisbane's best roads, bike paths and gravel - both routes will test legs and lungs. There might even be some token cobbles!

The routes will be revealed to registered riders 10 days prior to the event. See last year's route for an idea of what the big loop is like.

FAQ

Read on for answers to our most common questions...

In the lead up...
Where is this event?
Starts at Apricot Coffee (Wavell Heights), finishes at Fick brewing (Northgate). The route heads north and west of Brisbane.
When do entries close?
48 hours before the event.
Is there a risk waiver?
See our Terms, Conditions & Risk Waiver. You need to agree to these terms to particpate in a Goodness Gravel event.
Can I get a discount?
Sure! We offer a 10% discount for groups of 5 or more riders. Email info@goodnessgravel.com for the details.
What type of bike should I ride?
Ahh that's the million dollar question! Opinions vary, but we think the ride is most fun on a road bike. The course is roughly 90% road and 10% gravel. The gravel sections are not overly rough but will require rider discretion and riding to conditions and your skill level! Gravel bikes and mountain bikes are a popular choice as well. E-bikes are welcome. Old steel bikes, 19-23 mm tyres and down tube shifters automatically qualify for an extra free beer on us at the finish line.

Regardless of what bike you ride, remember to bring spares.
What weather should I expect?
March in Brisbane is generally pretty good. We cross our fingers for rain (true Roubaix conditions) but it doesn't always happen unfortunately.
Should I have insurance?
We highly recommend that you organise your own Third Party Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance. If you have a membership with AusCycling, Flip Insurance or similar, this will cover you.
What if I can't make it on the day?
You can transfer your entry to another rider or take a credit for another event.
When should I expect the GPX file?
Friday 20 March. 10 days leading up to the event.
On the day...
What happens in extreme weather?
Your safety and enjoyment is our top priority. We'll do our best to monitor the situation and communicate any changes in real time. Events maybe altered or cancelled if required. You'll receive an automatic credit in the event of a cancellation.
Where can I park?
There is ample street parking at the start and finish - both close enough to ride to at the start/end of the ride.
What's the vibe? Party pace or race pace?
We want you to push yourself as much or as little as you like but have a couple of things we'd like you to be mindful of:

1) We want you to enjoy the day, have fun, celebrate being part of an awesome community and enjoy riding a unique event.
2) Ride to the conditions and your skill. Don't be a d!ck and don't let your ego get out of control. Be courteous and friendly to fellow riders.
4) Be prepared and self sufficient. This means bike serviced, spares and fitness to complete the ride enjoyably.
5) Obey the road rules and watch for traffic. It's Sunday so less traffic hopefully but you'll be on open roads.
What's the go with the aid stations?
Both courses will have access to an aid station with bars, gels, bananas, donuts, savouries etc. Water, hydration powder and sunscreen. Music. Toilets.
Mechanicals and medical emergencies?
First Aid and a mechanic will be available at the finish line and also roaming on course. An emergency number will be provided on the day.
Are there prizes?
Yes! There are prizes for best style, fastest segment times (men and women) and best story of the day.
What's on offer at the finish line?
Complimentary beer or soft drink at Fick brewing.
