Here's what some of our riders said about last year's event
Questions?
What ' s included?
A GPX file for navigating the 'hand crafted and epic-ally fun'™ route -- A coffee at the start and a beer or soft drink at the finish line -- A brevet card that is your 'proof of passage', you'll get it stamped at the start and the end of the ride -- Professional photography with complimentary photos to give your friends FOMO -- On route refreshments so you can nail that new high carb nutrition plan -- Accident insurance just in case.
Recomended bike?
There's no perfect bike for BNE RBX and that's part of the fun -- A gravel or CX bike is probably the best bet but a mountain bike or road bike will also work just fine.
Route release date?
The route is kept under lock and key until two weeks before the event when it is emailed to registered riders.
Is it a race?
Go fast, medium or slow... you pick -- There's a bunch for each speed -- Our goal is for everyone to have a great experience and challenge themselves -- if you do have an eye on the podium, remember that it's the segment times that count, not the total elapsed ride time. Also, you'll be riding on open roads so follow the road rules and always ride safe.
What is up for grabs?
Fastest 3 riders for both men and women based on cumulative time on Strava segments -- Best Insta photo or reel shared on the day tagging @brisbaneroubaix -- Best Dressed whether it be retro or modern.
What happens if it rains?
Just like the real Roubaix, there are some BNERBX riders who pray for rain believing this dials the fun up to 11 out of 10 -- 2024 was a 'mudder' and the smiles were big! -- Safe to say the event will go ahead in bad weather unless conditions are deemed unsafe.
